Self-Advocacy Program
Our president and founder Rachel developed this pilot self-advocacy program for you as a part of her doctoral training at The George Washington University. Her hope is that it will be helpful and supportive, increasing your comfort and safety as you continue to work on these essential skills. If we find that it is beneficial for our community, her plan is to expand the program and ensure there is free access for those in need. Although there are some strict criteria for this initial program, the goal is that expanded access will support more in the chronic illness community living with other chronic health conditions. The program does need to be completed within 3 weeks of enrolling, and we recommend completing on a computer or tablet instead of a phone, but is available until the beginning of December. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to her here if you have questions or concerns.
