Bulk Cooking
It may be helpful for you to plan on making enough food when cooking so that you have leftovers. These leftovers can be refrigerated or frozen for future use. Doubling or tripling the amount of food prepared at a time can really cut down on the amount of time you spend in the kitchen throughout the week. You can freeze dishes for when you experience flare-ups or use frozen leftovers to save energy throughout the same week.
Some Examples Include:
Instead of making enough tofu teriyaki stir fry with rice for only one meal, you triple the recipe and make enough for 3 meals. Now that there are leftovers in the fridge or freezer, you automatically have two other meals that require zero preparation later in the week or in the near future if frozen.
Instead of making one casserole, perhaps you make two or three that you can freeze for future use.
Instead of making one batch of soup, perhaps you double the recipe so that you can freeze the rest in containers to use throughout the week or for use in the future when you have less energy.
When possible, making larger batches and doubling certain recipes might save you energy in the future.
